Depending on your needs, our team can evaluate products, equipment and technologies in the laboratory, particularly in the areas of HVAC, domestic hot water production, processes (e.g. dryers, stoves), new energies (e.g. production of biomethane from biomass), and the natural gas network (e.g. components, tools, etc.). This service meets the requirements of international standard ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. We can perform the following activities:
- Developing test protocols
- Carrying out tests, for example:
- Evaluation by reproducing real conditions (e.g. using the climate chamber)
- Evaluation according to a standard
- Evaluation of thermal comfort
- Mechanical tests (for equipment in the distribution network)
- Combustion analysis
- Verification/validation of energy savings
- Evaluation under controlled conditions

Our team can support you during your R&D activities and can even develop a product that addresses a challenge you are dealing with such as needing a specialized tool for the natural gas distribution network or something for a new energy technology (e.g. production of biomethane from biomass), an HVAC system, domestic hot water production, combustion heating system, etc. Some of the client needs that our services can meet within the requirements of international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 include:

Support during the certification process
Our team can support you during the certification process of your products using a combustion system. This can be on-site approval according to CSA B149.3 (e.g. artistic works, custom tools, etc.) or to certifications according to applicable standards (boilers, water heaters, furnaces, fireplaces, etc.). This service meets the requirements of international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and can include the following activities:
- Analysis of applicable standards
- Support during the preparation of a certification file
- Carrying out pre-certification tests
- Technical assistance during the certification process
- Assistance and attendance during the certification exam at NGTC’s laboratory or on site
Rental of space, equipment and instruments
