Our laboratory

ISO 17025 accreditation

NGTC’s management system and our laboratory is recognized as complying with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements for the development and validation of test protocols and for the performance of special laboratory tests related to thermal energy (natural gas, electricity, renewable energies) by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). Our accreditation scope includes the following categories of tests:
  • Functional and security tests
  • Energy
  • Mechanical tests
  • Comfort tests
  • Natural gas analysis
Our services offered under ISO 17025:

Our facilities

Our 8000 ft2 space is a modern, well-equipped facility that allows us to conduct our internationally accredited services. Our laboratory space meets the following criteria: 1. Several work areas for diverse testing:
  • Natural gas feed: up to 60 psig
  • Power supplies: 120V, 240V, 480V and 600V
  • Compressed air feed: up to 120 psig
  • Heat transfer systems: heat transfer fluid temperatures varying from −5° C to 80° C
  • Exhaust systems (hoods)
2. State-of-the-art instrumentation such as an infrared camera, remote data acquisition systems, flue gas analyzers, and various measurement devices (flow and gas meters and temperature, humidity, and pressure probes). 3. Specialized test benches. 4. A machine shop 5. Calibration benches for the validation of measuring instruments It is possible to rent part of the laboratory space and equipment and to hire professional support.
